26 Jul 2008 - 09:00 27 Jul 2008 - 19:00 Etc/GMT This year, on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of July, Didsbury Ultimate Frisbee For Amateurs will sponsor our first tournament, DUFFA Hat! The tournament will last all day Saturday and most of Sunday, with the final played late Sunday afternoon. The tournament will take place at the Burnage Rugby Club, Varley Park, Manchester. See the site here. Hat tournaments are fun and relaxing way to play ultimate. The focus is on spirit, enjoying the game, and playing with people who are not usually on the same team as you. Tournament fees are £16 per person for the full weekend, and include a free t-shirt, free camping, and a great big party in the clubhouse bar on Saturday night. Great prizes will also be included for the teams that are tournament finalists and for the MVP on each team. DUFFA Hat 2008 is currently limited to 160 players, so sign up now!

Go to the registration page on our website. You will be asked to fill some information about yourself or the person you are registering, and you can pay using a credit card right away. Your place will be reserved as soon as your payment is processed. Camping is available for free to tournament participants on Friday and Saturday nights around the edges of the pitch. Bring your own equipment. If you prefer to sleep in a bed, nearby hotels are listed here.
The address of Burnage Rubgy club is Battersea Rd, Stockport, Cheshire, SK4 3EA. It is less than one mile from East Didsbury Railway Station, which has regular service from Manchester Piccadilly. Further information, including bus and rail connections and driving directions will be emailed to everyone who is registered the week before the tournament. Please bring your studs and clothes that you are comfortable playing ultimate in. As always, sunblock and a water bottle are a good idea. Bring a towel if you are planning to shower on site. Food will be available for sale in the club house at meal times, and a Tesco is fairly close, but you could still bring snacks if you like. There will be a party on Saturday night, so if you don't want to party in your playing clothes, bring something else. If you are camping, plan to bring whatever you need for camping. Every tournament participant will be given a free team t-shirt, so don't worry about jerseys or light and dark shirts. Location
