UKU Open Indoor qualifiers for National Championships 2009.  Finals are due to take place on 24-25 Jan 2009.

One of the Regional Indoor Qualifiers will take place at Luton Regional Sports Centre, St. Thomas's Rd, Luton, LU2 7XP.  Due to popular demand we have extended the event to use the Putteridge Recreation Centr, LU2 8HJ - which is a short distance down the road.

Places will be allocated on first-come, first-served basis.  (Order of entry will be determined by date money arrives in account for online transfers, and the post-mark on the envelope for posted cheques.)

Transport.  If you are coming by car then the sports halls are pretty easy to find from the M1.  The postcodes in googlemaps will get you to the right place.

If coming by train I think its best to go to the main station rather than Parkway (altho not much difference).  Here is a map of bus routes .  Looks like 12, 12A, 17, 17A will get you between town centre that the right area for the sports halls.  However - its not far.  I suspect a shared taxi will be much easier, and probably not that expensive.

The Official Tournament Hotel is the Holiday Inn Luton South, M1 Jn 9.
The hotel has restaurant, bar, indoor pool, sauna, steam room, etc. – very nice.
They are offering a special ultimate tournament deal of twin/double rooms for £40.00 per room.  At £20 per person per night this will pretty much be as good as you can get in the area unless we can find other players that can put you up.
This is available on Fri 21, Sat 22 and Sun 23.
