West Coast Sand is back, more fun on the sunny south coast of Devon. We do mean more fun as the date has moved to May Day Bank Holiday weekend and will play out over three days. The other big change is that the event will be mixed teams only. More information coming soon.

DUFFA's Manchester Hat Tournament

DUFFA's Manchester Hat Tournament is back again for 2010! Just like the last two years, we are planning a truely amazing tournament with free camping, free t-shirt, two full days of gameplay, brilliant sideline games, an epic party on Saturday night, crazy prizes from our sponsors, free Saturday evening buffet and the best Spirit of any tournament anywhere. As always, the tournment will be run on a completely non-profit basis by volunteers. We do this because we love it!


This year the tournament will be at a new, bigger venue in Didsbury, in the south of Manchester. Registration will open in the beginning of April.

How to register: 

Registration will open in the beginning of April. To register online after registration opens, please visit www.duffa.org/hat. Last year we sold out early! If you want to be added to our contact list to get early notification of registration opening, send an email to us at info@duffa.org.

Accomodation and transport: 

Camping is free on Friday and Saturday nights. An extensive local area guide, including other local accomodation options, will be provided before well before the tournament date.


The tournament will be in south Manchester, in the suburb of Didsbury. The venue is less than 1 mile from Didsbury Rail station, and a bus service stops within a few hundred meters of the venue. Extensive directions for drivers and all types of public transport will be provided well before the tournament.

CUBE 2010 (Caledonia's Ultimate Beach Event)

CUBE is hosted by Aberdeen University Ultimate Frisbee club - Positive Mojo. CUBE was the first official beach tournament to be affiliated with the governing body for beach ultimate (BULA) in the UK, and for a number of years was the official British Beach Ultimate Championships. It is the most northerly BULA affiliated beach ultimate tournament in the UK.


There is a growing band of followers of CUBE, and each year demand for a team space seems to increase. The level of competition is also steadily rising year on year, with sponsorship and branded merchandise also a regular fixture. With a Scottish country dancing ceilidh now a tradition for the Saturday night party, and prizes awarded for the disc golf course and best sandcastle competition, it is also a fun weekend at the beach!

How to register: 

Please e-mail t.j.tuckley.05@aberdeen.ac.uk with the following info:
- Team name and origin (city or region etc)
- Contact telephone number
- How many teams you wish to bring
- Whether you'll require accommodation.


You will then be e-mailed with payment details. There are 7 places (of 16) left at this year's CUBE, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and thereafter placed on a waiting list. The final date for payment is Saturday March 27th. After this date, places will be reallocated to those on the waiting list.


The final date for withdrawal is Saturday 3rd of April and thereafter the tournament fee becomes non-refundable.

Accomodation and transport: 

Accommodation provided by Positive Mojo players.
Transport must be provided by individual teams - Positive Mojo cannot provide transport from accommodation to beach (approx 20 minutes drive). A bus from town runs early enough on Saturday, but not on Sunday - so don't count on catching that - provide your own transport.

Please bring: 

Suncream, sunglasses, bucket and spade, hat, scarf, gloves, rain jacket - be prepared for ALL weather possibilities!!
