University Coordinators Committee Elections
From 2014/2015 the University Coordinators Committee (UCC) will be introducing annual elections. To maintain some consistency within the committee only selected positions will be put to election each year. Positions will be awarded for a 2-year term so, under normal circumstances, elections for each position will be held every 2 years.
In preparation for the 2014/2015 season the UCC are looking to elect a new Scottish Regional Coordinator and Mixed Division Coordinator.
The Scottish Regional coordinator is the first point of contact for all Scottish University teams. They are responsible for addressing any issues that arise from Scottish teams or tournaments and maintaining communications within this region. They should be interested in the development of Ultimate in Scotland. Along with the divisional coordinators, they will provide seeding, scheduling and support to the Scottish region. They are expected to contribute to the overall smooth running and decision making processes of the UCC.
The Mixed Division Coordinator is responsible for the smooth running of the Mixed Division. They are responsible for addressing any issues that arise, ruling on eligibility and maintaining communication within this division. Along with the regional coordinators, they will provide seeding, scheduling and support to the Mixed division. They should be interested in the development of Mixed Ultimate. They are expected to contribute to the overall smooth running and decision making processes of the UCC.
Members of the University Committee will be available to discuss the roles further and answer any questions at University Nationals on 26/27th April. Alternatively you can email Chris, Hayley or Robbie (details below). The deadline for applications is 3rd May. After this date elections will be held via the UKU website. Please apply by emailing Chris Bamford (details below) with the subject "Application for Mixed/Scottish Coordinator". Please include a short blurb (max 250 words) to be published on the UKU website for voters to read. It is recommended that you include any relevant experience and what you hope to bring to the role.
