Event details:

DUFFA's Manchester Hat Tournament 2009 is here. Everyone had an amazing time last year, so we really had very little choice... we have to do it again. The tournament is completely open to players at all skill levels, including beginners and very advanced players, always playing on the same team. (For more about how a hat tournament is run click here.)  The focus will be completely on having a good time. These are some of the things people said about last year's event: "Every little thing was taken care of. It was very well run" and, "This was the friendliest tounament I have ever been to." One player, whose team lost all of its games said, "I have been to 12 Ultimate tournies this year, but this one was the most fun."

Just like last year, the price will be low, spirits will be high, camping will be included for free and everyone gets a T-shirt. The Saturday night party will blow your mind, with crazy DJ Phil making sweet music all night long. We have also added a FREE Saturday night pre- party buffet!

DUFFA Manchester Hat Tournament is completely non-profit and run entirely by volunteers. We do this because we love it!

Camping at the site is free for tournament participants on Friday and Saturday nights, just bring your own gear. If you prefer not to camp, there are hotels of varied quality and price near the site, or you might be able to arrange to stay with a local on our message board, which will be active for the month before the event.

Please bring:

Athletic clothes for all kinds of weather (it was really sunny last year)

Trainers or football boots

Water bottles

Anything else you might need... sunsceen, discs, party clothes.

Your very best Ultimate spirit

If you are planning to camp onsite, bring camping equipment. Showers are available, so bring a towel. Food options will be available onsite for a reasonable price. There is a bar at the venue, so you won't need to truck in the alcohol unless you are really cheap. (Please don't drink your own alcohol in the bar, it pisses off the barman) If you need at tent or other camping equipment, Decathalon is only a few minutes away.
