First Aid

UKU encourages anyone needing a first aid qualification to attend a minimum 1-day Sports First Aid or Emergency First Aid at Work course, and recommend looking at courses run by St John's Ambulance or British Red Cross.

For Coach Registration we can accept courses from other providers, usually based on the awarding organisation. Awarding bodies should be regulated by Ofqual or SQA. Qualsafe, FutureQuals or Pearsons are good examples.

Other First Aid qualifications may be accepted on a case-by-case basis (examples include, if you work in a medical profession, other NGB first aid courses, County Sport Partnership approved courses*). We will not accept any First Aid training done online. If you are unsure about First Aid qualifications please contact
