Event date:
7 Nov 2015 (All day) - 8 Nov 2015 (All day)
Event details:

YEUMIR 2015-16 will be held on this date. Please see next week's event (across all the other regions) for details, but do note that the YE event is on this date, one week earlier than other regions

The schedule is now available on this link:

and as a pdf from the main event page.

In case you're wondering - yes, straight to semis is the standard format for a triple-elimination bracket. Anyone finishing in the top 3 of their pool can still make Div 1, even though it seems like a long route back! This style of schedule has been standard for many years when we have 3 Div 1 qualifying spots.

Entries are now open through the UKU Entry Form. The closing date for entries will be Friday 6th November. If you miss this date, your spot will be offered to other teams, possibly in other regions. History tells us that in Mixed Indoors we may get some teams who do not take up their spot, and we'd like to give any replacement teams sufficient time to get organised; hence the early closing date.

Accommodation: We expect to be able to provide some LIMITED accommodation locally. This may be in a scout hut or church hall (and hence not free!) or it may be on local players' floors. This is really only for those who cannot get accommodation any other way.

London Ultimate Christmas Hat 2010

Submitted by LondonUltimate on Thu, 21/10/2010 - 6:14pm
Event date:
Repeats every day until Tue Dec 28 2010 .
27 Dec 2010 - 10:00 - 15:00
28 Dec 2010 - 10:00 - 15:00
Event details:

As well as working on the 'official' London Winter League, the London Ultimate Committee have been putting thought into being more organised than usual about a Christmas Hat tournament.

We've particularly realised that, with Christmas Day being on a Saturday, many of you may consider some post prandial perambulation to be in order... unless you're planning to sit around getting fat whilst watching re-runs of Bond movies...

So,

it’s going to take place on Tuesday 28th of December, the second of the Christmas bank holidays.

The venue will be Tooting Bec Common, Balham . This is the same place as the London summer league pitches - Balham pitches on Streetmap.co.uk

Balham tube on the Northern Line is closest and there are no works scheduled as yet. From the tube, walk up Balham Station Road past the Sainsbury's car park on your left. Cross over Bedford Hill at the lights (where The Bedford is) and walk down Fernlea Road. Turn R at the end of the road and go under the little railway bridge. You'll see a kids playground, and behind it a big grassy area. We're playing there.

Currently I working on a start time of 10.30am with a finish of about 2pm depending on the number of games.

Depending on numbers the plan will be to play a couple of games and then decamp to The Bedford for food, drinks and the comparing of Christmas jumpers.

If you want to play please drop me an email (so that I can get an idea of numbers in advance and don’t spend the day stood on my own in the cold) just saying that you would like to play or fill in the poll at http://doodle.com/2g2t4yhbnmtt7dsm

UKU Open Regional Championships - 2010

Submitted by Si Hill on Mon, 25/01/2010 - 8:02pm
Event date:
31 Jul 2010 - 08:00 - 1 Aug 2010 - 18:00
Event details:

2010 will see the return of regional championships that also act as qualifiers for the UKU National Championships.

So far bids have been awarded for events in:

Sidcup, London

Spinkhill nr Sheffield

Final configuration of the regions is still being finalised, but we expect to run at least four regional events.

There are many reasons why the introduction of Regionals is very positive, but the key goals are:

1. To help promote ultimate competitions that are aimed at local teams and players

2. To help ensure ALL UK-based ultimate teams have a fair chance to enter and compete in the National Championships.
