Event details: 

Umon 2013 will be hosted by Durham University. The event is for all current University mixed teams. 

There will be eight pitches so we will be looking for upto 32 teams.

 

Sign up will close to first team at 18:00 SUNDAY 24th FEBRUARY. After this time, remaining places will be granted to second teams in the chronological order in which they signed up. Please only pay for first team until you receive an email saying your second team has a place.

30 minute walk or 15 minute bus ride running approx every ten minutes from Durham rail station to pitches (56,56A,57,57A,58,58A,X1)

 

Please bring: 

Home and away kit, water bottles (refills will be available). Sleeping bag and roll mat.

Midlands University Open Outdoor Regionals 2013

The Strange Blue / Cambridge Ultimate conglomerate are happy to announce we'll be hosting Midlands University Outdoor Open Regionals 2013, and are now accepting entries.

The location and facilities are the same as last year's edition, with (hopefully) a few improvements. Get in touch if you have any comments/suggestions from last year that you didn't get to pass on.

This event is only for university teams in the Midlands region, for other regions please see UKU/BUCS University Open Outdoor Regionals 2012-13.

Note that your team's entry will not be confirmed until we have received the tournament fee. Also any accommodation requirements should be sent to us as far in advance as possible, for us to be sure you'll have a place to stay, and to be sure we're charging you the right team fee.

 - how to fast break effectively

Durham Open Outdoor Warm-Up Tournament

The format will be open outdoors, with match lengths of 45-55 minutes to match university regionals as much as possible, with approximately 7 games over the weekend.

There will be six pitches and we're looking for sixteen teams, but may be able to expand if interest is high enough. Places will be given to the first 14 first teams that reply until 02/02/13. After that date, we will fill up any remaining slots with any second teams who would like to come.

Any team is welcome to enter, however priority will be given to university teams over non-university teams if we are oversubscribed due to the proximity of Uni competitions.

University Mixed Indoor Nationals

University Mixed Indoor Nationals. This is the event for the best 32 teams in the country to strut their stuff on the national stage. There'll be two divisions of 16 teams each playing at the same venue battling it out to be crowned UK Champions.

Accomodation and transport: 

Accommodation is available on the Friday and Saturday night for those that request it at a local scout centre. Accommodation is available for about 14 teams, but if I know there's a high demand, I'll find an extra option. You'll need to bring roll mats and sleeping bags.

UKU/BUCS University Open Outdoor Regionals 2012-13

The Regional Qualification events in the UKU-BUCS University Open Outdoor Championships 2012-13 all take place over the weekend of 9-10 March 2013.  Some of the bids are still being finalised - but we are adding information below as it becomes available.  

To check which region your institution should be entering please check the map here.

 

Apologies for the delays with the announcements - please do what you can to plan for the event.  We do expect all of them to go ahead on 9-10 March.  In general the entry fee can be expected to be in the region of £100-£140 but will vary depending on the specific costs, etc at each venue.

 

Update 26th Feb 2013: Venues now confirmed for all five events; details have been published for all except Northern Regionals will take place at Northumbria University

Update 12th Feb 2013: Entries now also being accepted for West by email; webform will be available shortly

Update 8th Feb 2013: Entries are only being accepted for the Midlands event for the time being, but other events will be opened up within the next few days.

Chevron would like to announce the Chevron Rainbow Tournament is now open for entry.  It will be on 5th and 6th of January 2013 and we have spaces for 24 teams (Open, Mixed, Women welcome).

Accomodation and transport: 

The venue is only 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre (Piccadilly Train Station) with plenty of bus services running to it.  It is within 30mins from Manchester International Airport by public transport.  There is also plenty of car parking available at the venue (pay and display). The venue is the same as has been used for the Manchester Beginners Tournament 2012 and the Manchester Indoor Women’s Experienced Tournament.


With regards to accommodation, Manchester does have many many cheap hotel options which are close to the venue.  Currently Express by Holiday Inn are advertising a double room at £37 per room!

We like to run fun competitive tournaments that cater for everyone who wants to play. After a very successful Regionals a lot of teams asked for more 1 day tournaments so we thought we'd run some early next year!

 
We're going to be running up to 3 divisions, perhaps side by side, perhaps 1 after the other ... we'll find out how you want to play, then write the perfect schedule to suit.
It might be the ideal time to warm up before Open, Women's & Mixed Nationals ...
You might want to split your team in 2 and challenge each other in over the tournament ...
