GB Grand Masters Beach 2019 Squad

We are pleased to announce that the following players have been selected to represent Great Britain in the Grand Masters division at the European Beach Ultimate Championships which will be held in Portugal from the 6-11th May 2019.

GBU24 2019 Mens Squad Announcement

We're delighted to announce that the following player shave been selected for the U24 Men's team to represent Great Britain at the Under 24 World Championships in Heidelberg, Germany between 13th-20th July 2019.

The following 20 players were selected at a trial weekend in December that featured very high quality play from all of those who attended.


In addition to those 20 there is a small group trialling at our February training session who are also listed below. We're very excited to see what they might be able to bring to the squad and wish them the best at that weekend.

Non-playing support to GB Mixed

The GB Mixed leadership group is looking for non-playing support over the 2019-2020 season. The two major tournaments of this campaign are EUC 2019 in Györ, Hungary, from Saturday 29 June to Saturday 6 July 2019 and WUGC 2020 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, from Saturday 11 to Saturday 18 July 2020.


We are looking to build a team of motivated and hard-working athletes who, through team training sessions and independent work, will come together to play beautiful and spirited mixed Ultimate.

WFDF announces host of the WFDF 2020 World Masters Ultimate Championships to be held on the Gold Coast, Australia

WFDF has announced that the WFDF 2020 World Masters Ultimate Championships (WMUC 2020) will be staged in Gold Coast, Australia from Saturday 5th September to Saturday 12th September 2020 at the Runaway Bay Sport Precinct. The tournament organizing committee (TOC) is WFDF member national federation the Australian Flying Disc Association (AFDA), which had hosted the WFDF 2018 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships and the WFDF 2006 World Ultimate Club Championships with great success.

Following WUGC London in 2016, where the event attracted 28 masters’ teams from the master men’s and women’s divisions, WFDF made the decision to separate out the Masters divisions to a dedicated Masters event for National Teams for 2020.

GB Youth Teams Coaches and Managers 2019-2020 Appointments

Congratulations to the following coaches and managers who have been appointed to work with our Great Britain Junior Ultimate Teams heading initially to EYUC in Wroclaw, Poland August 2019, and for the U20 teams also be working towards the WJUC in Malmo, Sweden in July 2020.

GB Mixed Masters 2019-20 Player Applications

We are pleased to announce applications for the GB Mixed Masters team for 2019 are now open.

Applications are open to all women born in or before 1989 and all men born in or before 1986. If you are eligible to play mixed masters at Worlds but not Euros we still want to hear from you!

Application deadline is December 16.


Trial 1: January 12, Coventry @ 12.30pm-4.30pm

Trial 2: February 2, London @ 4pm-8pm 

GB Men's Masters 2019-20 Player Applications

We are pleased to announce that applications for the GB Masters Mens team for 2019 are now open. Application deadline is Wednesday 28th November 2018.


Applications for the GB Men's Masters team are open to anyone who is eligible for the masters age group for either the 2019 or 2020 tournaments. You have to be 33 or over in the year of the competition.

The GB Men's Masters team for the 2019 (EUC) and 2020 (WUC) will be managed by Matthew Beavan, John Howell and Nick Sampson. The location and dates for these tournaments are yet to be announced.
