UKU Nationals 2018 (EUCR-W) - Final Standings, Qualifiers for EUCF, Spirit Results & Lost Property

Well done to everyone that took part at UKU Nationals 2018! Despite the wet and windy weather on Sunday, we hope you all had a great event and enjoyed playing some fun, competitve Ultimate. Also, thank you to everyone that took part in the Competition Structure Review sessions - they were very informative and we will be sharing further details about the discussions that took place soon so keep an eye out for that announcement!


Huge congratulations to Nice Bristols for winning the Women's division after a great game against Iceni in the final, to Black Eagles for coming top in the Mixed division, and also to Clapham for finishing 1st at UKU Nationals for another year! Given that this event was also the qualifier for EUCF, a massive well done also goes to Chevron Action Flash, Reading Open and PELT for qualifying for the Open division, and to Iceni and Rebel for taking the other qualifying spots in the Women's and Mixed divisions respectively. 

Announcing request for GB Squad managers EMUC 2019 and WMUC 2020

Further to our announcement on 9th July 2018 about GB squads 2019-20, we invite applications from individuals or small groups* that would like to put themselves forwards to manage one of the GB teams through the two cycle of attending EMUC 2019 and WMUC 2020.  (*) Groups should have an identified lead individual.

World Junior Ultimate Championship Update

GB lionThe World Junior Ultimate Championship (WJUC) are approaching their conclusion and both GB teams have just 2 games remaining.

The open team finished second in their pool to earn a quarter final against France. A 13-9 loss leaves them playing for 5th, with their next match against Sweden, who they played and beat earlier in the tournament.

The womens team are currently in 5th in their pool, having been involved in some close games. A 13-10 loss to France was followed by a sudden death victory over New Zealand. They have also recorded a 15-7 win against People's Republic of China and have games against Italy (4th in pool currently) and Mexico (6th in pool currently) to finish the competition.

Competition Structure Review - Results So Far & NEW E-Groups

With 260 responses* submitted for the Competition Structure Review survey and only a few days until the deadline to complete it, we thought it might be useful for us to publish the responses that have been sent so far.

Competition Feedback Discussion Groups

To further support gathering input and improve transparency, and confidence in transparency, around UKU competitions we are setting up three club-representative feedback groups to support the work of the UKU Competitions Committee. Thanks to Alex Cragg for the original suggestion and also his input on the format.

WJUC 2018: Watch GB live today

The World Junior Ultimate Championship 2018 is underway in Waterloo (Canada) and the GB U20 Open and Women's team have been in action.


Final call for GB women's beach squad manager 2019

This is a final call for squad managers for the GB Women's squad at 2019 European Beach Ultimate Championships

So far the GB Committee have received no applications to run this squad, and without an individual or small group willing to take on the management of this squad we will be unable to enter a team into the event.

UKU Nationals 2018 (EUCR-W) - Introducing the Spirit Circle Before the Game

Please find an announcement below from the EUF President regarding the introduction of Spirit Circles before the game at all EUF sanctioned events. As UKU Nationals is also EUCR-W, please note that this will be applicable to the event being held on 25th-26th August at The Pavilion in Birmingham. 


Dear European Ultimate Community

After the very positive responce of the introduction of the Spirit of the Game circle before the game at the EUCF2017, the EUF dediced to extend this Start Game Procedure to all EUF santioned events in 2018 (EUCRs and EUCF).
