Great Britain wins historic silver medal at World UItimate Championships

The Great Britain Men’s Ultimate team won its first ever medal at global level last week, taking World Championship silver in Osaka: a historic achievement during the UK’s ‘summer of sport'.

Congratulations to GB Open who secured 2nd place at the WFDF World Ultimate & Guts Championships 2012 in Osaka on Sat 14th July.  The team reached the final after hard-fought victories over Australia and Sweden in the quarter- and semi-finals respectively.(C) Neil Gardner - Neil Gardner -

Reaching the final makes this year's team the most successful men's ultimate team that Great Britain has ever produced.  Strong combined results across the Open, Women's and Mixed divisions also guaranteed that GB Ultimate qualified for the World Games 2013 to take place in Cali, Colombia.

We are now looking for team coaches for our teams attending U23 World Championships 2013 in Toronto, Canada.

Registration open for UKU Open & Women's Tour 2012

Entry is now formally open for the UKU Open & Women's Tour events 2012.

The entry form allows you to enter one, two or all three of the UKU Open & Women’s tour events 2012.  You can also pay all in one go if you like.  There is of course some more information about each of the events on the event-pages, and more information will be added over the coming weeks.

Trafalgar Square: frisbee in the sun!

On Thursday 22nd of March Trafalgar square, basked in glorious sun, was taken over by the Matalan Sporting Promise. UK Ultimate showcased Ultimate by coaching pupils from a local secondary school.

The event was covered by the Daily Mirror who had their reporter, Steve Myall, taking part in all of the activities alongside 5-times Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave, who is ambassador to the Sporting Promise.
