UKU Event Announcements

This newsletter is intended to provide a simple stream of information about UKU events. At the point of launch, the intention is that this will provide a definitive source of the most important information relating to UKU events: - dates - registration processes - news updates in the weeks preceding an event (e.g. schedule released, etc)

UKU Ranking Events - OPEN & WOMEN’S 2019

Early Bird entries are now OPEN for Moor Lane 2019 - the Women’s & Tier 1 Open event taking place in Birmingham on 13th-14th July 2019 - and we can confirm that the Northern Open & Women’s Round 2 event, now called “Junction 7” will be taking place at Sale United FC on 22nd-23rd June 2019!

Junction 7 entries are now open with the other 2nd Round Tier 2 events - Rhymney Cup & Midsummer Madness - until 22nd May. You can enter using the GoMembership website. Please note that as capacity is limited at this venue, priority will be given to the Women's teams that wish to enter and then the remaining spaces will be allocated to the Open division.

Full details for the 3rd Round Open & Women’s event Moor Lane can now be found on the UKU Event Page and you can enter on the GoMembership website HERE. Unfortunately, due to no bids being received and difficulty finding venues, an Open Tier 2 NORTH event will no longer be taking place on 13th-14th July. The only Open Tier 2 events that will be taking place are Moor Lane (Midlands) and Edenbridge (South East).

Y Ddraig Goch 2019 - Updated & Confirmed Schedule

We are pleased to now confirm the schedule for the weekend. However, there have been a number of changes.

Ouseburn Social Club requested a much lower seeding which meant that we needed to re-draw the pots from the original seeding list for the new 17-24 seeds; whilst most of the affected teams are in different pools, there are actually very few changes to teams’ start times, however you must double check the schedule to ensure that you have the most up to date information. We have also moved and rearranged a number of games on both days and fixed a problem to avoid a potential rematch in the semi-finals.

In summary, please make sure that you check the updated schedule so that you have the correct start times and pitch numbers for your team’s games as they are likely to have changed since the draft schedule was published. The pitch map can be found on the Event Website here. You should also familiarise yourself with the Rules & Formats page on the schedule.
