UKU Event Announcements

This newsletter is intended to provide a simple stream of information about UKU events. At the point of launch, the intention is that this will provide a definitive source of the most important information relating to UKU events: - dates - registration processes - news updates in the weeks preceding an event (e.g. schedule released, etc)

Y Ddraig Goch 2019 - Final Standings, Spirit Results & Lost Property

Well done to everyone that took part in the first UKU Ranking Event of the season - Y Ddraig Goch (The Red Dragon)! We hope that you all had a great weekend dusting off your boots after the winter.

Huge congratulations to Mighty Hucks for taking home the Winner award after a convincing win in the Final against the Royal Goaltimate Society. Also, well done to South Wales Storm 1 for winning the Plate in their home town after finishing 21st in a sudden death match against Leamington Lemmings! The complete final standings can be found on the online schedule which can be accessed on the Y Ddraig Goch Event Website

A huge well done also goes to Ouseburn Social Club for winning the Spirit of the Game Award!

Y Ddraig Goch 2019 - Updated & Confirmed Schedule

We are pleased to now confirm the schedule for the weekend. However, there have been a number of changes.

Ouseburn Social Club requested a much lower seeding which meant that we needed to re-draw the pots from the original seeding list for the new 17-24 seeds; whilst most of the affected teams are in different pools, there are actually very few changes to teams’ start times, however you must double check the schedule to ensure that you have the most up to date information. We have also moved and rearranged a number of games on both days and fixed a problem to avoid a potential rematch in the semi-finals.

In summary, please make sure that you check the updated schedule so that you have the correct start times and pitch numbers for your team’s games as they are likely to have changed since the draft schedule was published. The pitch map can be found on the Event Website here. You should also familiarise yourself with the Rules & Formats page on the schedule.

Y Ddraig Goch 2019 - DRAFT Schedule & Event Information

The draft schedule for Y Ddraig Goch 2019, taking place at the Llanrumney Playing Fields in Cardiff this weekend, is now available to view.

As usual, please DO NOT make any concrete travel plans based on this schedule yet as it may change but do have a look at it to ensure that there aren't any issues. We apologise for the lateness of this being published, however we do hope to be able to confirm this schedule by Friday morning.
