UKU Junior Women's Indoor Nationals 2019-20 - Results & Spirit Standings

Congratulations to all those who attended this year's Junior Women's Indoor Nationals event on Saturday 16th November. The Cranford Superdome played host to a day (and evening) of exciting games, close results and great spirit!

In the Under-14 Division, both finallists came through their semis with impressive margins. However Gateways (Gateways School, Leeds), in their first appearance in a final, were unable to keep up with AirBadgers 1 (St Peter's School, Exeter) who claimed the school's first trophy of this academic year!

The Under-17 Division final saw a Flux 1 (Twycross House School, Twycross) team who had yet to concede a single point face their classmates in Flux 2. Though Flux 2 did manage to put some points on the board, Flux 1 came out as the comfortable winners to retain the trophy.

In the Junior Division, Evolution (Aylesford School, Warwick) overcame holders Flux in a tight semi-final to face up against AirBadgers in the final. However, a dominant display from AirBadgers prevented Evolution from adding to their Mixed titles, instead seeing the trophy return to Exeter for the first time since 2013!

It is good to see that the rate of spirit score submission continues to increase, as does the number of comments being left for opponents too! Remember to be as specific as possible when leaving comments, so that opponents know why they got the score they did. Doing so helps other teams to continuously improve their Spirit, leading to better, more enjoyable games in the future.
