Lookfly team discounts and UKU referral deal

 Last month we described UK Ultimate's position in the current Covid-19 situation and shared information on how you might be able to help financially or otherwise.  Another way that you, as a player or a team organiser, can help UKU is to support the companies that help us and the sport: our suppliers and partners.  Lookfly have supported and supplied the GB National Team since 2017 and our relationship goes back even further, to the early 2000s. One of the outcomes of less ultimate being played is they're also experiencing tough times.

And so, for the first time, we're asking you to consider them if your team is looking for new kit. You can start a conversation with them by clicking HERE.  Your team will receive a 15% discount on your order from Lookfly and the UKU will receive a small referral fee for every order started through this form - everybody wins! Design assistance is free and they have staff ready to get your team gear to you by September, they even have a recycled fabric option that's made from post-consumer plastic bottles!

Social distance friendly KS2 School Games set up

Thanks in particular to Mark Bignal, Jenna Thomson and Mariana Larroque for their work to create a set of primary school resources to help people keep playing frisbee at school.  Please download these instructions and scoresheet to find information on how to set up the Frisbee stations as well as links to the Youtube Videos.

These activities are suitable for KS2 (primary school). They come with a scoresheet enabling you to:

  • Compete at a Lvl 2 by handing in your scores to your local SGO.
  • Compete at Lvl 1 in school using your house system or selected teams.

Free Coach Forums July-August

We are continuing the UKU Coach Forums through July and into August.  To sign up to any of these events please click on the links below.

These are informal discussion groups led by Ultimate folk who've spent some time thinking about specific areas of the game and are happy to share their ideas. Please come ready to get involved in discussion, ask questions and learn from each other.  Due to the nature of the format we have limited space and have decided that recording the sessions is not appropriate.  Coach Forums are free for UKU members.

Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter.  Do not accept racism.

UK Ultimate recognises as an organisation, and on behalf of the ultimate community in this country, that

  • People have experienced, and do experience racism and discrimination in our sport;
  • We fall short of providing a universally welcoming and diverse home for anyone that wants to join in;
  • We can do better.
