UKU U20 Outdoor National Championships

For the first time, we have split U20 Outdoors from the U17 / U14 divisions. In 2026 we are holding the UK Ultimate U20 Outdoor National Championships, in September. This will be for the Open division, but if we get numbers we will also run a Women’s division event too. Please read the eligibility rules carefully for this event.

Timings

Games are currently scheduled to start just after 10:00 and should be finished around 16:30. After games have finished, there will be a short trophy and medal ceremony (Gold, Silver and Bronze). If you have need to leave immediately after the games have finished and have won medals, please let the TD know so that you can collect them before the ceremony

Eligibility

In the U20 division all players should have minimum Basic UK Ultimate Membership.

Coaches

Coaches and staff should collect a lanyards on arrival and PLEASE remember to return them at the end of the day so we can use them again.

Please take a moment pre-game to introduce yourself to the opposition’s coaches and share anything about your team or players before the game begins. Please note the tournament-specific rules below for additional information.

Venue

Oxford Rugby Club, North Hinksey Lane, Oxford, OX2 0LX

On arrival please report to the TD Desk to sign off on your roster and collect your team game disc. Toilets and water taps are inside the pavilion. If you have a team tent, please follow instructions for where to set this up.

Parking will be coordinated closer to the event - we need to know if you are coming in a coach.

Food

Please aims to bring everything you need for the day, including food and snacks. Shops are a short drive away from the venue.

Tournament-Specific Rules

This tournament will be played 7-a-side on full sized fields with the full rules.

Team sizes:

Based on past experience please note that you should not enter a team unless you have at leats 10 players fit to travel. However, more than this is recommended.

Medical Support

First aid / emergency cover will be available located near the TD desk or pavilion.

For serious incidents, the nearest hospitals are:

General

Keep the sidelines clear - gaps between the pitches are for safety, please do not sit in narrow gaps. Please make sure to leave your belongings in a sensible place and do not leave fixed/hard/heavy items within 5 metres of the pitches and please do not leave anything at all - including water bottles - within 3 metres of the pitches.

Please do a visual check of the playing area and remain vigilant for any potential hazards on and close to the pitch.

Please take off your jewellery / watch / fitbit, etc, following rule 3.4. in the WFDF Rules of Ultimate.

This event will follow the UKU Tournament Rules.

Please ensure your team has a Spirit Captain. The Spirit form is linked from the schedule. Please submit scores promptly, ideally after each game. Scores submitted after midnight on the last day of the event may not be included in Spirit data.
