Great Britain Ultimate

Youth players compete at EYUC (European Youth Ultimate Championship) and WJUC (World Junior Ultimate Championships). These events are held every two years.

The WFDF WU24 (World U24 Ultimate Championships) includes Open, Women’s and Mixed divisions and is held every two years. It is the most prominent international Ultimate event for University and College age players.

These are the elite Great Britain teams. Open, Women’s and Mixed divisions compete at EUC (European Ultimate Championship) and WUGC (World Ultimate and Guts Championship) which run on consecutive years over a 4 year cycle.

Teams in the Masters divisions compete at EMUC (European Masters Ultimate Championships) and WMUC (World Masters Ultimate Championships) across Open, Women’s and Mixed divisions.

To be eligible to play Masters, women must turn 30 in the year of the event, men must turn 33. Grandmasters age is 37 for women, 40 for men. Great Grandmasters is 45 and 48 respectively.

Senior teams in Open, Women’s and Mixed divisions; Masters teams in Open, Women’s and Mixed divisions; Grandmasters and Great Grandmasters in the Open division compete at EBUC (European Beach Ultimate Championships) and WBUC (World Beach Ultimate Championships). These events are held on consecutive years on a 4 year cycle. GB teams will also compete at international Indoor events.

The World Games is an International multi-sport event for sports not included in the Olympic Games. They are usually held one year after the Summer Olympics. Flying Disc, played only as a Mixed discipline, is a World Games sport. Teams qualify from results at WUGC. UKU sent a GB team in 2009, 2013 and will be competing in 2022.
