Our members are UK Ultimate. They are players, organisers, coaches, supporters, fans. Without them, we would simply cease to exist. Whether you’re learning to throw for the first time, an experienced player, or a sideline supporter, we’re delighted that you’re part of the Ultimate community.
Joining UK Ultimate helps support the work we do to govern and grow the sport of Ultimate across the UK, whilst also giving you access to a range of member benefits, including free coach education resources, our discount and rewards scheme, and playing eligibility.

Full Membership
Full Membership is for players playing across the country.
Full members get access to the full range of membership benefits including eligibility to compete in any UK Ultimate event, free access to our rewards scheme, free access to our online Coach Education materials and to member events.
A discount is available for U18s and students.

Basic Membership
Basic Membership is for Ultimate players who want to play predominantly locally or recreationally. It is also an option for those new to the sport who don’t yet know if Ultimate is for them. This membership is needed to train with an affiliated club and compete in regional competitions. Membership is a requirement to play events sanctioned by UKU but run by local organisers.
Additional benefits of this membership are limited. Some member events are free.

Friends and Family Membership
This membership is for non-players, retired players, those who play non-competitively, and our international Ultimate friends. With this membership you can be part of the UKU community and get access to our Free Coach Education material and other member events. You will receive member discounts, and public liability insurance for non-competitive participation.

Coach Membership
This membership includes the following benefits: Coach Registration, free access to Coach Education materials and member events, the playing benefits of Basic Membership, the option to access our rewards scheme, and public liability and professional indemnity insurance up to £10 million.
Any coach who is also a player requiring Full Membership will need to purchase this separately. All coaches must be on the Coach Register and there is the option to sign up to this without membership.

Individual membership is essential to play with an affiliated club. Your club administrator is responsible for checking your membership status.
It is important to purchase the correct membership for your involvement in Ultimate to ensure you have appropriate insurance cover. Liability insurance is about protecting other people as well as yourself. In particular, your club committee or event organisers could be impacted if you do not have membership in circumstances where it is required.
