Women & Girls Development Programme - Southampton

Come and play Ultimate with other women and girls from across the South East! This three-hour session for female-matching players aged 15+ is a chance to get plenty of Ultimate, meet other players and be part of the women and girls’ Ultimate community. Coaching will be led by a female GB Ultimate player, with more details to be announced soon. There will also be information and support for anyone interested in developing their coaching through the UK Ultimate Level 1 qualification. All experience levels are encouraged!

Who is the event for?

This event is for female-matching players aged 15+. All experience levels are welcome, from those who are new to Ultimate through to experienced players.

How do I sign up?

Sign up through the Youth Ultimate UK website using the link. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Deadline for entering:

There is no fixed deadline. Registration will remain open until the event is full.

Price:

£6 for students and £9 for adults.

Trojans Rugby Club, SO50 9HT

Venue details:

The event will take place outdoors on grass. The rugby club has clubhouse facilities available with toilets and showers. There will be an opportunity to stay afterwards for drinks and socialising.

Parking / transport:

There is parking available at the venue. If transport to the venue is likely to be a barrier to attending, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.

Arrival time:

Please arrive from 11:45am for a 12:00pm start.

What should I bring?

Please bring suitable sports clothing, trainers/studs suitable for playing on grass, plenty of water and a disc if you have one. As the session runs from 12:00–15:00, please also bring any food or snacks you may need during the session. Please also bring anything you need to stay comfortable outdoors.

How will I hear from you?

All registered participants will receive further event information by email before the event.

Anything else?

The session will feature coaching from a female GB Ultimate player, with more details to be announced soon. The programme also aims to support more women and girls into coaching, with information and support available for anyone interested in completing the UK Ultimate Level 1 coaching qualification.

Under-18s and safeguarding

This event is open to players aged 15+. Youth Ultimate UK has safeguarding arrangements in place for under-18 participants, and Youth Ultimate UK’s safeguarding procedures will be followed throughout the event. Parents/guardians will be asked to provide appropriate emergency contact and medical information when registering.
