Risk assessment templates

Writing a risk assessment guidance

Keep records of your risk assessments. Risk assessments should be used for the venues you use and for your session planning. You can use these templates as a starting point. When you open this template you will need to save your own copy before you can make edits.

Keep your membership profile up-to-date

As a registered coach it is important that your membership profile is kept up-to-date. Your membership profile should include:

  • Current contact details

  • Current clubs

  • Coaching qualifications

  • DBS (if applicable)

  • Safeguarding training certificate (if applicable)

  • Frist Aid certificate (if applicable)

  • UKU Coaches code of conduct

  • WFDF Rules Accreditation certificate

Safeguarding, welfare and DBS

Please take a look at our safeguarding pages. Safeguarding trainings is an essential part of keeping everyone safe (including coaches!). For training options take a look at the CPSU (the Child Protection in Sport Unit) and Ann Craft Trust (adult safeguarding). If you need a DBS, UKU can administer this for you.

Those employing a coach (whether paid or on a voluntary basis) are responsible for ensuring the coach is properly set up and registered. Some inexperienced in working with sports coaches might need the coach to explain the requirements.

Email coaching@ukultimate.com if you have any questions.
