Did you know?

This ‘Did you know?’ post features research-based injury prevention strategies specifically for playing Ultimate. Research has shown that the most common injuries in Ultimate are ankle ligament injuries and hamstring muscle injuries. These conclusions are drawn from MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine dissertation by Dr Kenneth Duffy, UK Ultimate’s Chief Medical Officer.

You can view and download this poster from our Play Safely page. There’s lots more info here covering different aspects of play, from extreme weather to wearing watches!

“Did you know?” is series of semi-regular blog stories, sometimes fairly random, but hopefully mostly somewhat interesting or useful to help you learn more about Ultimate and UKU. Please let us know if you have questions, something you would like to know, or anything else!
